The 8 games seem to have whizzed by, haven’t they? After all, we made it into the final of the League Cup and the final 16 of the FA Cup.
But his return will be a boost for the Reds.
He is, after all, such a creative player. Liverpool FC seem to have learnt how to put the ball in the back of the net, and furthermore, the Uruguayan has gotten himself a well earned rest following his past 2 years of terrorizing defences for both Liverpool FC and his national side Uruguay.
But what I will be hoping for is for Liverpool FC to learn how to control their enigmatic #7. For all his talent could go to waste if he continues to display this very emotional side to him. Incidents involving the striker include biting opponents, handballing on the goal line to ruin the hopes of an entire home nation (although I guess this wasn’t that bad) along with showing the bird (middle finger) against Fulham.

Guess Who's Back?
Safe to say, Liverpool FC have had mixed fortunes in the Uruguayan’s absence. But their fortunes can be said to be improving, with them producing 3 splendid results in a row with their draw against Man City to send them into the Carling Cup final, victory over rivals Manchester United and a dominating performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers to send them 4 points behind 4th placed Chelsea FC and in front of Arsenal FC.
How I see Liverpool FC Lining Up For their Next Game
Reina
Kelly-Agger-Skrtel-Enrique
Adam-Spearing
Gerrard-Bellamy
Andy Carroll-Luis Suarez
There are so many permutations in the current Liverpool FC squad. We have players like Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing and Maxi Rodriguez whom can come off the bench and make a big difference. It’s the first time I’ve seen such depth in the Red’s squad, hence I honestly think that Kenny Dalglish will have a very hard task in picking his First XI for the game against Tottenham on Monday.
But all eyes will be on the Uruguayan in about a week’s time, with Liverpool FC heading to Old Trafford for their 2nd league encounter of the season, and after the events at Anfield in the first half of the season, one would expect this game to be a very fiery affair.

Well written! But I tend to believe that Kenny might start Luis on the bench against Spurs. He doesn’t really insist upon rushing players into the Starting Line-up after being away for a while! Great to have him back nonetheless!
Personally hope he starts, but in Kenny we trust!
I guess Suarez,Kuyt and Adam will start from the bench, so our line-up will be Reina, Johnson,Skrtel,Agger,Enrique,Spearing, Gerrard,Henderson,Downing, Bellamy, Carroll.
Hi all,
and we went on to win the match even with 10 men, he was a Spanish chap – I mean, this guy was the hero of the match. This sort of thing happens every single day all over the planet. You cop a red, miss a match, end of story, walk on. Those are the rules and penalties, you know them and you play and take your chances with them. Luis Suarez did exactly that, got pulled up for it as you do and put his team through like a true football martyr. The country loved the kid for it.
Just dropped in to leave a little rant for you all
I know you have toned it down, but I cannot get my head around people putting the “goal line handball” incident in the same bag as any morally dubious action – just like when they drag in that terrible racial murder into the same conversation as the Patrice Evra situation in an effort at intertwining the name of the player with that. But regarding the goal-line thing, I continue to hope that it is just a simple indicator of little experience in the game.
Just the thought of my team, any team, on the verge of reaching vertiginous heights in the biggest, most important sporting tournament in the world and you have a fraction of a second to decide to risk a red card but put your team through… no brainer, you grab it, hands down(or up in this case – excuse the pun).
I distinctly remember playing a big match in Australia (Sydney southern districts league) where our keeper was caught out of position after a rebound and one of our backs literally had to save the ball, like… dive to save! This was over 20years ago, they missed their penalty
Really good point you make there. He paid the penalty by missing out on the semis and the playoff for third
