A Few Reasons Why Suarez Will Shine Against Man United Today
A lot of the pre-match build-up to the Manchester United and Liverpool FC match has surrounded the big pre-match handshake. There is a question remaining, whether Evra should shake Suarez’s hand, but here’s why I think Suarez will have the last laugh.

In all honesty, if Patrice Evra doesn’t shake his hand, it will be the Frenchman that will have the problems. After all, this was the man that he initially accused, with the Uruguayan ending up with an 8 match ban. The reality is, that the striker has already paid his dues. He has already paid the penalty for, as they say, ‘ignorance of culture’ that the livewire striker portrayed. The striker is apparently happy to leave it all behind him, as his manager, Kenny Dalglish has already explained to the media that he WILL offer his hand in the customary pre-match handshake.
Other things swing the Uruguayan’s favour. The fact that it wasn’t a confirmed verdict, i.e. a balance of probabilities, going in favour of the Manchester United captain’s favour doesn’t exactly prove anything either.
But then again, you would have to consider the fact that as a result of this, Suarez has been made a bigger hero down in Merseyside by his supporters, with a band of teammates whom support him right to the very end, an Anfield crowd that showed their support for the Uruguayan with their support of the specially made “Support Suarez” t-shirts. Furthermore, this is also the man that refused to make an official apology directly to the Frenchman.
But in my opinion, Suarez will leave all of his talking on the pitch. A fantastic player with phenomenal dribbling ability. Suarez has even had a history of a great performance against United. At Anfield last season, he inspired the Reds to a 3-1 victory, with him displaying all the qualities that made for the signing in the first place.
And for Manchester United fans hoping that Evra will get his revenge on the Uruguayan, i.e. shackle him, steal the ball from him, well, you would be slightly crazed if you thought that was possible. Against Chelsea alone, the left flank was shown as a weakness. You would have to remember that it was Patrice Evra that was absolutely destroyed by Sturridge for that first Chelsea FC goal. It must also be remembered that Fernando Torres’ cross for Mata’s goal also came from the left. Where’s the marking, Patrice?
And Evra won’t be helped by his last memory of playing in this tie. It was him that had a lapse in concentration, as Dirk Kuyt found space beside Evra, before firing home the winner past a helpless David de Gea.
Some people say it’s gonna be a long day for Luis Suarez. I BEG to differ. I think it’s Evra that has a really long day ahead of him.
